Find your type

A quick bare-skin test

Wash with a gentle cleanser, wait an hour without products and look. Shine all over suggests oily; tightness or flaking suggests dry; stinging and redness with many products suggests sensitive.

02

Sensitive skin

Skincare for sensitive skin

Keep it short

Cleanser, fragrance-free moisturiser and mineral SPF are often enough.

Soothing ingredients

Centella, oat, panthenol and ceramides calm and support the barrier.

Patch test

Try new products behind the ear or on the jaw for several days first.

03

Oily skin

Skincare for oily skin

Gel cleanser

Removes oil without stripping; avoid squeaky-clean feelings.

Niacinamide and BHA

Help balance shine and keep pores clearer.

Light moisturiser

Skipping moisture can make skin produce more oil.

04

Dry skin

Skincare for dry skin

Cream cleanser

Non-foaming formulas protect natural oils.

Humectants plus occlusives

Hyaluronic acid or glycerin, then a rich cream with ceramides or shea.

Lukewarm water

Hot water and long showers pull moisture from skin.

What all skin types share

Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+, one new product at a time, and a dermatologist visit for anything painful, persistent or spreading.
