01

Observe first

Read your skin as it is today

Skin type is a tendency, not a permanent label. Oil production, sensitivity and hydration can change with climate, hormones, medication and the products already in your routine.

Dry

Tightness, roughness or flaking call for gentle cleansing, humectants and barrier-supporting creams.

Oily

Visible shine still needs hydration. Choose light textures and avoid stripping cleansers.

Combination

Treat the oilier T-zone and drier areas according to their different needs.

Sensitive

Keep formulas simple, introduce changes slowly and stop when burning or swelling persists.

02

Protect by day

Morning skincare routine

Cleanse or simply rinse, add an optional hydrating or antioxidant serum such as vitamin C, moisturise and finish with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.

03

Reset by night

Night skincare routine

Remove makeup and water-resistant sunscreen, cleanse gently, use one targeted treatment if appropriate, then moisturise to support the barrier while you sleep.

04

Choose by function

Ingredients that earn their place

Hydration

Hyaluronic acid attracts water; ceramides help replenish the barrier that keeps it there.

Congestion

Salicylic acid can work inside oily pores. Begin a few times weekly rather than daily.

Vitamin C serum

An antioxidant used in the morning under sunscreen to support brightness. Start with a lower strength, store it away from light and stop if it stings persistently.

Tone and texture

Niacinamide, AHAs and retinoids offer different routes. Add only one at a time.

Protection

A broad-spectrum sunscreen used generously and consistently is the essential final morning layer.

05

Application order

How to layer skincare

Move from cleanser to optional watery hydration, then serum or treatment, moisturiser and—only in the morning—sunscreen. Thinnest to thickest is a useful guide, but product instructions always take priority.

One change at a time

It is easier to judge results and identify irritation when only one new formula enters the routine.

Patch test

Use a small area first and follow label instructions before applying a new product across the face.

06

When skin objects

Safety is part of the routine

Tingling is not proof that a formula works. Persistent burning, redness, itching or swelling means stop and reassess.

Painful acne, eczema-like patches, sudden changes or symptoms that do not settle deserve guidance from a dermatologist or qualified clinician.
