The idea

What glass skin really means

The look comes from a healthy barrier and plenty of water in the skin, not from shimmer. Korean routines focus on gentle cleansing and several light hydrating layers.

02

Routine

Korean skincare routine, step by step

1. Oil cleanser

At night, melts sunscreen and makeup.

2. Water-based cleanser

A gentle, low-pH cleanser for a clean base.

3. Hydrating toner

Press in with hands; layer two or three times on dry days.

4. Essence or serum

Hyaluronic acid, glycerin or centella for hydration and calm.

5. Moisturiser

Seals water in. Gel for oily skin, cream for dry.

6. Sunscreen

Every morning. Sun damage dulls glow faster than anything.

03

Extras

Optional weekly steps

Sheet mask

A quick hydration boost two or three times a week.

Gentle exfoliant

A mild AHA or PHA once or twice weekly smooths texture.

04

Be realistic

Glow takes weeks

Real glass skin builds over a month or more of consistency. Pores and texture are normal; filters are not the goal.
