Sunscreen is always the last skincare step.

1. Cleanse

Rule

The golden rule

Apply from thinnest to thickest texture. Water-based layers go before creams and oils. Give actives a minute to absorb, and add new products one at a time.

Common questions

Does serum go before or after moisturizer?

Before. Serums are thinner and need to reach the skin first.

Where does sunscreen go in a routine?

Last in the morning, before makeup.

Do I need to wait between skincare steps?

About a minute is enough for most layers.
